With more than 30 top level courses designed by renowned course architects such as Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones, among others, this Caribbean island has become one of the best golf destinations in the world thanks to the beauty of its spectacular routes that border the Caribbean Sea.

GOLF COURSES

Corales

The course is a  creation of the famous designer Tom Fazio. This golf course facing the sea was inaugurated in 2010 and features six holes on top of cliffs facing the Caribbean. The last three holes, called “the devil’s elbow”, are one of the most magnificent finals in the world of golf, culminating in a striking 18 “U” shaped hole that is played around a narrow bay with cliff edges. The course is host to the first PGA Tour tournament in the Dominican Republic, the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.

Teeth of the Dog

The golf course designed by Pete Dye is positioned as number 27th in the world according to Golf Digest. It can be said that Teeth of the Dog has earned quite a positive reputation. The course has been meticulously sculpted around the rugged rocks and corals of the Dominican coast, making it a challenging course that has put the Dominican Republic on the map of golfers around the world.

Punta Espada

Punta Espada is the first of three Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses to be developed at Cap Cana. Opened in November 2006 it is already listed among the worlds finest, with the renowned GolfWeek publication ranking it as the “#1 Best Golf Course in the Caribbean and Mexico” and Golf Digest as the #63 in the World. Eight holes play along and over the sea. From all points of Punta Espada, golfers are blessed with extraordinary views of the Caribbean, where the sea contrasts against the emerald fairways and the perfect greens.
